Description:
I hiked the White Mountain region in August 2009 and took a total of 15 frames (vertical, portrait orientation) from a parking lot north of Pinkham Notch, which gives an excellent view of several peaks that are part of the White Mountain range, in order to assemble this high resolution mosaic.  The above image is only a crop of the full panorama, showing Lion Head in the center, as well as Mount Washington summit to the right
.  These images were taken without a tripod, using a Canon 50D with a Canon 24-85mm wide angle lens at 50mm focal length.  The frames were taken in  manual mode, 1/3200 sec, f9, ISO 400, and then assembled for the panorama using the photomerge feature in Photoshop CS4.  When you explore the interactive image (best seen in full screen mode on your browser), please right click on your mouse for directions regarding how to navigate.
